A Message of Condolence and Solidarity

It is with profound sadness and sorrow, and with hearts heavy with grief, that I extend, in my own name, on behalf of all the staff of the Consulate, and on behalf of the members of our community residing in the United Kingdom — many of whom came to the Consulate to express their deep sorrow and profound distress following this tragedy — my heartfelt condolences and sincere expressions of sympathy to the families, relatives and loved ones of all those who lost their lives in the fires that have affected our country.

As we share with the families and loved ones of the victims their pain and sorrow in these difficult circumstances, we pray to Almighty God to grant those we have lost His infinite mercy, to welcome them into His eternal Paradise, and to grant their families patience, strength and comfort.

We also extend our heartfelt wishes for a swift and full recovery to all those who have been injured, praying that God may restore them to health and well-being.

In these exceptionally difficult circumstances, we pay tribute, with the utmost respect and appreciation, to the members of our people who came to the aid of their fellow citizens and extended a helping hand. We likewise salute the members of the Civil Protection services, the personnel of the National People’s Army in all its branches, all security services, medical and paramedical personnel, first responders and volunteers, and everyone who has contributed, directly or indirectly, to combating these fires and protecting lives and property.

As we deeply commend this spirit of solidarity and patriotism, we pay tribute to our resilient and steadfast people, who have once again demonstrated, in the face of adversity, that Algerians are capable of standing together, supporting one another, and remaining united in the most difficult of circumstances.

May God protect Algeria and its people, shield our country from all harm, have mercy on the victims of this tragedy, grant healing to the injured, and protect all those who work tirelessly, day and night, to safeguard our homeland and its people.
