Exceptional Revision of Electoral Lists (12–26 April 2026)
Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 26-145 dated 4 April 2026, calling the electorate to elect Members of the National People’s Assembly on Thursday, 2 July 2026, and in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 dated 10 March 2021, relating to the Organic Law on the Electoral System, as amended and supplemented, in particular Articles 62 and 65 thereof, the Independent National Authority for Elections informs all Algerian citizens that the exceptional revision period of the electoral lists will open from Sunday, 12 April and close on Sunday, 26 April 2026.
For this purpose, the Electoral List Revision Committee of the electoral district of the Consulate General of Algeria in London informs all Algerian citizens registered with its services and residing within its consular jurisdiction that they may carry out the following procedures:
1- Registration on the Electoral Lists
For citizens who will have reached the age of eighteen (18) on the date of the election (2 July 2026) and who have not previously registered on the electoral lists.
2- Removal from the Electoral Lists
This concerns citizens who have changed their place of residence. Removal is carried out automatically in the following cases:
- Death;
- Transfer of the consular file to another diplomatic or consular mission;
- Issuance of a Certificate of Change of Residence (CCR);
- No contact with the Consulate General for more than ten (10) years;
- Duplicate registration or error in the electoral list.
3- Verification of Personal Information
Citizens already registered on the electoral lists may verify the accuracy of their personal details and update them where necessary (surname, given name, filiation, address, etc.).
How to Submit Applications During the Revision Period
Citizens may submit their applications for registration or removal from the electoral lists through the following means:
In person at the Consulate General of Algeria in London, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 09:00 and 16:00, in order to complete:
- Application form for enrolment on the electoral roll
- Application form for removal from the electoral roll
By email, after completing the relevant form(s), to: elections@algerian-consulate.org.uk
By post to the Consulate General’s address, no later than Sunday, 26 April 2026 (postmark serving as proof of dispatch date).
Important Reminder
Consular registration does not automatically constitute registration on the electoral lists.
