Meeting between the Consul General and the Member of Parliament Representing the Algerian Community Abroad

As part of its efforts to promote communication and consultation with the Algerian community abroad, and to strengthen coordination with its representatives, the Consul General Hicham FERHATI today received  Mr Fares RAHMANI Member of Parliament representing the Algerian community abroad.

The cordial meeting provided an opportunity to discuss issues and concerns affecting members of the Algerian community in the United Kingdom. Both sides also exchanged views on how to improve communication and institutional coordination so that community members’ concerns can be addressed more effectively.

The Consul General and the Member of Parliament reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their efforts, within their respective roles and responsibilities, to serve the Algerian community, listen to its concerns and identify ways to help address them.

The meeting aimed to strengthen the links between the Algerian community abroad and their homeland, in keeping with the commitments made by the country’s highest authorities to Algerians living overseas.
