Proxy Voting

The Consulate General of Algeria in London informs Algerian citizens registered on the electoral roll of the London consular district that, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 of 10 March 2021, containing the Organic Law relating to the electoral system, as amended and supplemented, the period for establishing proxy authorizations for the legislative elections scheduled for 2 July 2026 runs from 20 April to 28 June 2026, i.e. three (03) days before the date of the vote.

Accordingly, voters who are unable to fulfil their voting duty on polling day may exercise their right to vote by proxy. It should be noted that:

- A proxy may only be granted to one representative who is registered on the electoral roll of the Consulate General;

- The proxy is issued free of charge. The principal must provide proof of identity, and the presence of the representative is not required;

- On election day, the representative must present the proxy document, their own ID, and the voter card of the principal;

The proxy must be certified by the consular services using the official form provided by the Independent National Authority for Elections. This form can be requested and collected from the Consulate General in London or downloaded via the following link:
